MAXPEDITION - Active Shooter Bag - Mag Front and PALS Front

Details
Category: Packs/Bags
Created: Sunday, 09 August 2009 22:08

DIMS: Frontal compartment: 9" x 8" x 1.5" velcro-lined, rain cover dual zips
Main compartment: 9" x 9" x 3" velcro-lined, rain cover dual zips

With the active shooter concept in mind, the bags make for good grab and go reaction capabilities. Starting with a simple shoulder bag core, what makes these bags stand out is the customizability. The interiors of both compartments are fully lined with loop velcro to accept tactical holding accessories such as pistols and mag holsters. One can fit a serious load of ammo or tactical tools inside.

On the exterior sides is PALS webbing, but only with 3 channels at 3" tall. This somewhat limits these to small accessory mounting points since mag pouches require 5" tall worth of PALS space to secure fully. One can mount one to these bags anyway, however the pouches will be a little floppy. To further the active shooter concept, a waist belt is included on the back which is a great asset to making the pouch capable of usage with rapid movement. Without it, usability would be much more of a hassle while clearing buildings with a rifle.

To serve users better, 2 versions are offered with one having mag pouches on the front and the other with PALS webbing. The PALS webbing version of course is for those who wish to fully customize while the mag pouch version is for those who like the config and can save money. The mag pouches include 2, 30 round rifle pouches and 2 pistol pouches. They are pretty simplistic with no pull tabs, but have a generous amount of velcro for adjustability. The pistol mag pouches can hold an assortment of tools such as flashlights and collapsible beatsticks.

Being a collaboration with Extreme Gear Labs you can count on these being solid designs. For those who don't plan on taking on active shooters anytime soon they make great bug out bags or kickn' ammo range bags. Check out the shotshow video for more details:
